Two killed, six wounded in Kashmir blast

Srinagar, March 5, Hardnews: Two were killed and six injured in a blast in Kashmir. Police informed that separatist guerrillas had lobbed a grenade into a home in Shopian district which caused the blast.
The incident took place late Tuesday when the house of Abdul Hamid Nengroo in Reshnagri village, about 80 km from here, was bombed. One woman was killed instantly and another person, Bashir Ahmed Wagay, died on his way to hospital, reports IANS.

Of the six injured, the condition of one is stated to be critical, an official said. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

In another incident, a guerrilla was killed in a gun battle with security forces in Wodinar Arigam village, 50 km from here in north Kashmir's Bandipore district.
