Congress sharply reacted to the comments made by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and demanded an apology from him for his alleged "budiya" remarks. Modi on Friday called the Congress party a 125-year-old "budiya" (old woman) at an election rally in UP.
Modi has repeatedly attacked the Congress with his 'budia' remark during his election campaigns. He did so in UP on Friday and urged people to vote for a 30-year-old "young" BJP instead. The entire Congress top brass including Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi have strongly reacted to the comment. Priyanka Gandhi while campaigning for brother Rahul Gandhi in Amethi asked voters whether she looked old. Asking people in Khalidpur, she said, "Kya mein budhi dikhti hoon? "Does Sonia, Rahul Gandhi or I look old to you," she added.
While Congress spokesperson, Jayanti Natrajan, in Delhi said, "Modi should apologise to women, in fact men and women, and to the elderly for his remarks. If Modi or (his) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) do not apologise, the electorate will soon send them packing into obscurity." She also added that even LK Advani was in his 80s and elderly and wanted to know if Modi considered Advani a burden. Natarajan also cited incidents from Mangalore and said that the BJP has become ideologically bankrupt and said that Modi has perverted Indian culture.
Advani continued his attacks on the PM and said that Manmohan Singh's weakness as prime minister was "patently" visible and "very clear". While Sonia Gandhi rubbished Advani's success as the home minister in the NDA government questioning his claims and credibility.
Observers say, with a foul-mouthed Modi let loose, considering his history of vicious and rather low level discourse, this election might really turn bitter.

The congress does not mix words when they say that their party is the oldest in the india. And when Mr. Modi says that congress is old then the G- Family says they are young.
What people can not understand is whether Congress = G- Family and G- Family = congress.
What common people like me think is the following
1. Yes Congres is Old and rusted with division politics, which has divided our country by language first, and then by caste over the past 60 years.
2. No Priyanka and rahul ( Children of Rajiv Gandhi) neither old . But ofcourse the Mrs Sonia Gandhi, can not say that she is not old.

Seems like BJP is losing it.. its already into so many controversies, staring from varun gandhi's venomous speech, jaswant singh distributing cash, annath kumar's hate seech (has become a trend of sorts i guess!), advani calling (in his croaked voice) manmohan singh weak time and again, and now modi bringing some more bitterness with budhiya-gudiya...
It is a wellknown fact that
It is a wellknown fact that Indian media is favouring the Congress party. They are broadcasting all types of statements from various leaders of Congress party without any inhibitions. If anybody does a statistical study of the number of statements and whose statements are given more importance it will be obvious that most of the statements are issued by Gandhi family members - Sonia, Priyanka, Rahul. This by itself tells who is running the country now. It is pitty that such a learned person with vast experience has been made a puppet prime minister.
