Lok Sabha adjourned after uproar over violence in Mumbai

The issue of violence in Mumbai over Assam riots stalled proceedings in the Lok Sabha for the second consecutive day today as opposition members stormed the Well demanding dismissal of Maharashtra government, leading to adjournment of the House till noon.

BJP members were also on their feet supporting them by raising slogans and demanding a statement on Assam riots from Mr Shinde, who visited the strife-torn areas yesterday.

As soon as the House met, Shiv Sena and BJP members from Maharashtra trooped into the Well demanding dismissal of the Maharashtra government and a statement from Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde.
